The Ministry of Environment represented by the Urban Environment Service organized a workshop on 27 May 2016 for discussing Decision No: 189/1 dated 14/4/2016 issued by the Minister of the Environment related to the mechanism of reviewing environmental audit studies.

The Science Club at the “Sacré-Cœur” College - Jemayzeh, inaugurated an environmental museum under the patronage of the Ministry of Culture on 18th May 2016 entitled: “The Lebanese Nature, a Geological and Ecological Wonder”. The ceremony was attended by the Minister of Culture’s representative Dr. Asaad Seif and Mrs. Lamiss Shujaa from the Environmental Media Department -Service of Environmental Guidance- at the Ministry of Environment, beside the faculty commission, students, and non-governmental organizations.

Go Wild For Life
The world celebrates on the fifth of June each year the World Environment Day, organized by the United Nations in order to raise the awareness and highlight the risks surrounding the environment. Under the title of "combating illegal trade in wildlife", the world environment day celebrations this year are hosted by Angola. The World environment day theme for this year is "Go wild for life" and it aims to "raise the awareness towards the wildlife crimes, especially the endangered species. This slogan warns the risks of wildlife crimes and their effects not only on the environment but also on the economy of countries and their systems since killing and smuggling is undermining economies and ecosystems, fuelling organized crime, and feeding corruption and insecurity across the globe.
