Objectives

- To identify and elaborate strategies, tools and actions contributing to sustainable development, environmental protection and rational utilization of coastal and marine resources of Lebanon, focusing on the southern stretch of the coast;
- To apply methodologies and practices of sustainable development and of Integrated Coastal Area Management (ICAM);
- To contribute to the upgrading of national and local capacities for integrated coastal management and the protection of the environment;
- To generate project results and experience used in defining and implementing post-project activities;
- To develop planning, management and implementation approaches at project area, regional and national levels, applicable to other areas.
