The children of the group were selected through an interview from those who submitted essays on the environment to the Kumamoto Nichinichi Shimbun. It consists of 3 elementary school children and 5 junior high school students. Kumamoto prefecture is famous for its cold and delicious water.

We issued an article on the summit in our newspaper.In preparation for the summit, group members visited the Kyushu Kumamoto Plant of Suntory to see how Kumamoto's water was being used.
