Just learning "how to be earth friendly" is not really being environmentally friendly. We aim to see, feel and think by ourselves about our environment, and then move into action.

We always look forward to encountering knowledgeable books to enhance environmental studies. Please let us know if you have any recommendable printed matters.

*Short message for exchange with other group/project

Here are titles of some books we would like to share with you. "State of the World", "If the world were a village of 100 people", and "Experiences in Nature".

*Impression of Children's World Summit for the Environment 2005 Aichi

Since the summit took part together with the EXPO 2005, the whole program was meaningful. We still cannot forget how impressed we were to see the Toyota Group Pavilion. There was a big gap between what we had learnt and what we really saw there. We would like to participate in similar kind of events if there are any coming up. My 13 year-old daughter is now studying hard to improve her English so that she will be able to actively participate in other international events. She was totally impressed by other teenagers who presented/performed confidently in the summit.

*Others

Last November, we attended a lecture given by Kayoko Ikeda, the translator of "If the world were a village of 100 people".It was a wonderful opportunity to learn about the relationship of peace and environment preservation, which made us think about ecology activities.
