We have members from different parts of the island such us Imari City, Kasuga City, Dazaifu City (Fukuoka Prefecture), and Tamana City (Kumamoto Prefecture). Initially we were all from Karatsu but eventually those kids whose family moved out of town keep on participating in the activities, thus our meetings are like having class reunions.

Our goal is to make the famous "Tamashina River" a clean and beautiful river where salmons can live. We hope the salmons will come back to our river again. Our major activities are to clean the river, plant trees in the upper part of the river, and to let other people know about our activities.
We are really proud to have a river where salmons run up. Our activities are well supported by the fishermen's union, landlords, JA, and the tourist association.
"Without trees there are no mountains. Without mountains there are no rivers. Without rivers, we will never have a bountiful sea."
Our activities were once introduced by the local Saga Shimbun.
We learned the importance of English, the common language in the Summit. However meaningful our activities are, if we did not have the means to communicate, there will be no significance in making action.
Two of the members started learning English to improve their communication skills in international events.
